![]() V The Mechanics i) Miscellaneous -- but key -- information ii) Attributes iii) Skills, Songs, Discords, and Roles iv) Attunements, Discords, and Skills v) Artifacts, Distinctions, Rites, and Expanded Notes This section offers a breakdown to the +sheet and gives some basic explanation of the skills system (+sinfo). Miscellaneous -- but key -- information The uppermost portion of +sheet starts off with Max Hits and Current Hits. The maximum value is based off of a simple calculation: (vessel level +total Corporeal Forces) * Strength. Current hits is how much damage you've received. So if your current hits lists 0 it isn't a bad thing at all! If it's quickly approaching the maximum hits available on the vessel... well, you're probably in a world of pain unless you like that sort of thing. Character Points (CP) are determined by the number of Forces allotted to your character's race multiplied by a factor of four, and that number doubled. Here's an example written out for a demonic character:
Dissonance indicates the number of points of dissonance your character has "earned". You can reduce the number by redeeming acts (speak to your Superior or a staff member if yours is currently NPCed) or by accepting a Discord. Essence is the energy that powers such actions as Songs. It is the total number of Forces allotted to a character. It is regenerated every day at either sunrise (angels) or sunset (demons), as well as by certain Rites. Attributes This portion of the +sheet can be broken down into three sections. Each attribute is used in different circumstances. If you're trying to dodge an enemy attack, you'd be testing your Agility. But if you're trying to determine if an expensive painting is an original or a well made forgery, you'd be using your Perception. Corporeal attributes are Strength and Agility. The first indicates how strong your character is as well as how much damage it can endure, whereas the second denotes the reflexes, dexterity, and general gracefulness. Ethereal attributes are Intelligence and Precision. Intelligence is how smart your character is or their raw mental capacity. Precision is another term for patience or how long your character can focus on one given task. Celestial attributes are Will and Perception. Will indicates how well your character can withstand mental stress, while Perception is the sensitivity level of your character to the Symphony. All attributes work on a twelve rank scale. From lowest to highest, it is:
Skills, Songs, Discords, and Roles The next portion of the +sheet provides information on what skills, Songs, Discords, and Roles that your character knows and/or has. The various Songs are divided into the three realms -- Corporeal, Ethereal, and Celestial. In the case of Numinous Corpus, the specific form should be indicated in the notes section [below]. An example of deciding the level is for a Role... Elizabeth has a Role as Eliza the bartender. It's a secure role, so she has it as Bartender / 4 in her +sheet. The levels in this area are from 1 to 6, with one being the lowest value. If you do not know the skill or Song, it would be equivalent to having a level 0 and is not listed. Attunements, Discords, and Skills This is an expanded portion of the skills alloted to a character. Other items that would fall into this category are specific forms of Songs (eg. Numinous Corpus (Claws) ) and attunements based on your Choir/Band and Superior (eg. Cherubim of Animals). Artifacts, Distinctions, Rites, and Expanded Notes This area indicates any special abilities or artifacts that your character has come into possession. A distinction is something awarded to servitors usually by their Superiors -- Captain of Dark Humour, for example. An artifact is an item with special properties associated with it -- the Compass of Attunement (haha, yes, but the actual game version) is an example of such an item. A Malakite's Oaths would fall into this section although a staff member would have to set them for you. Previous: The Places
