Fado Irish Pub and Restaurant

Fado's has become a hotspot for many of the locals. The place is split between three different sections, the bar and tavern in one room, another room for the restaurant, and an outside patio area as an extension of the restaurant; all of which are no smoking. The owner, Tyrr Ceallaghan, opened Fado's two years ago and has advertised and made enough deals to watch it grow.

The bar and tavern room has a counter top bar where any of the patrons can sit and talk with the bartenders or their fellow patrons. Near the bar there are a few tables where anyone can sit with friends, share a drink, and just have a good time.

The restaurant and patio area is your classic walk in dine-in restaurant, with different celtic elements on the walls and in the way the rooms are built. The waitresses and waiters are dressed in all black, and always very courteous, as the owners insist on top quality customer service.

Fado's pub today has been a little slow. The waiting staff are mostly sitting around and some have been sent home early. The replacement bartender isn't even that busy this afternoon. The atmosphere is rather morbid and tiring. Genevive's bouquet still stands on the counter top, along with a few recent additions of sympathy cards, candles, and flowers. Timon sits at a barstool next to the small shrine. An assortment of newspapers strwen out in front of him marked in red in certain places, circled in others, at a glance it seems like nothing. He sits staring into the paper ocasionally looking up to take a sip from his scotch.ing into the paper ocasionally looking up to take a sip from his scotch.

Darius enters the establish during this mid-calm afternoon. He looks around at the establishments patrons and makes his way to the bar. He appears to be in a happy mood and walks with a little energy in his step.

Timon looks up from his papers acknowledging the new patron as he steps up to the bar. He politely asks the bartender for a refill of his drink before removing a red pen and circling a pharse under a headline regarding a Chemical Factory strike.

Darius arrives at the bar and orders a Roy Rogers with extra cherries. Catching a glimpse of your Red underlining, "A strike eh? It's good to see people rally behind what they believe. Commoderie in the face of strife. Now if their boss can get out of his greedy hole.. that will be a sight."

Timon nods slowly at the fellows remarks. But doesn't look up untill his refilled scotch has been served. He finishes circling a few more key elements of the article before sliding that section of the newspaper back on top of the pile hes allready finished 'reading'. "Yes, it's refreshing to see good triumph in the face of adversity. Tell me sir.." He trails off for a moment as he takes the time to look him over, then continues after the brief pause. " why the 'Roy Rogers' ?

Darius chuckles, "It tastes good, its still mid-day.. and besides. Alcohol isnt very good for a body anyway. So I enjoy the flavors of many Virgin drinks.". He pulls the chair out and sits up to the bar. As the drink is handled over he takes a cherry and pops it in his mouth, enjoying the flavor slowly. He gives a smile, and adds, "I do so love the extras too."

Timon just seems to stare at the fellow for a moment. "I see." He averts his attention to another un-marked newspaper he has in stack in front of him. He un folds the paper revealing the headline. 'Bartender of Favored Establishment Murdered' He begins to mull over the article, his face remains calmn and emotionless.

Darius grins, "It's a choice, to each his own. Are those old newspapers? I just recently came back to Austin, I've been away for a couple of years and now I am trying to catch up on local events."

Timon continues reading and circling passages from his papers while addressing the man. "Most yes, one of them is todays of course. I came back into town yesterday from a buisness trip actually." He takes a moment to finish circling off the end of a passage regarding the supposed location of Kurgans murder. Then slowly leans back in his stool, and takes a slow sip of his drink. "Tell me, " He turns back toward the seemingly nice fellow. "a year you say? What buisness could pull a man from such a ... 'busy' town."

Darius shakes his head, "A relationship busted and tore me up. I had to get with some family in Kansas and find myself. I came to terms with it and decided to head back down to Texas because my history is here. I dont get caught up in the politics and busy side of this town. I do simple things, and have fun". He gives a bit of a smirk as he sits back and enjoys a sip from his drink.

Timon shakes his head slightly. "I am sorry to hear of your loss." He takes another sip of his drink before continuing. "My name is Timothy Williams. Tho you may just call me Timon or Tim if you would prefer." He slides that news paper up onto the stack of marked ones, and flips open the next one, 'Explosion in South Suburbs was Arson, Officials Say' reads the headline.

Darius offers a hand in a friendly gesture. "The names Darius Sullivan".

Timon turns to the man and takes his hand in a firm shake. "Glad to make your acquaintance." He pauses a moment before returning to his papers.

Darius smiles, "The same in return. So what kind of work do you do that makes you feel the town is so busy?". He sits back into his chair and enjoys a sip from his drink again.

Timon begins jotting down notes along the side of the article, while addressing the nicely dressed fellow. "Idle hands are the devils playground." He finishes jotting a few names and some notes to the side and begins circling portions of text. "Im an electrician." He pauses for a moment before continuing. "So, it must have been a very 'important' relationship to keep you away from your roots for a whole year." He says it more matter of factly than as a question. "Of course if that much time was really required to clear your mind and prepare yourself to re-enter your line of work; then objectively it seems quite justified."

Darius nods pondering something silently, "Yes, it was. i was quite broken up about it and it got the better of me. I had to reevaluate myself because of the whole thing. My job is very fluid and its not that binding on me to be gone. I substitute at the local school districts and a Sub going away for a term isnt going to break anyones backs."

Timon nods slowly before turning away from his papers. Inquiring idly without a trace of emotion in his voice. "So, was it a woman? As a matter of observation, I find that most people who go through trauma such as that tend to have it generated by somone of the opposite gender." He sighs to himself. "Silly thing, love. Letting your heart guide you and dictate your actions." He turns back to his papers and circles more lines without giving the fellow another thought.

Darius nods thinking deeply as his mind seems to relive something, "We can love so much that it not only hurts us, but the one who we have focus on. Sometimes the resulting actions can often be traumatic or devistating to both parties.

Timon finishes his marking on this paper's article. "Agreed." He unfolds his last newspaper article 'Lightning Strikes AMOA, Sparks Conflict' and once again begins reading and marking. "As I said, objectively an un wise decision to make."

Darius smirks and leaves it at that. "Past history is best left to the past". He takes another sip from his drink and says "Although sometimes Love is the best emotion of them all. Since in its purity, it is true."emotion of them all. Since in its purity, it is true."Timon gathers up his papers and stands. "It was nice meeting you. But I have a prior engagment."

Darius nods, "Nice to meet you again, and perhaps we can get into deeper conversations if we pass paths once more."

As Timon stands and leaves Darius turns to the bartender with chat as he continues to enjoy his drink.
