  Characters

Every character on In Nomine: Symphony & Silence MUSH should be something the player who controls them likes. The first steps in any campaign/story-arc is for the players to come with an idea they're comfortable playing.

On In Nomine: Symphony & Silence, just about every character type in the In Nomine books is available to play. This however doesn't mean that all will be easy to get. If a character is listed as 'restricted' in the books, they'll be harder to get on this game. If a type, such as the Grigori, are almost totally unseen, then there may be as many as 2 or as little as none. It all depends on the character concept. If you want to apply for a character that is listed as restricted, talk to a staff member first (for connected admin, see +staff) to see how many are currently being played. We don't like rejecting characters because there are too many of a specific type already, but we want to maintain a balance on the MUSH.

The following types of characters are available on In Nomine: Symphony & Silence. The main six are Angels, Demons, Soldiers, Remnants, Mundanes, and Undead. But within those groups you also have Outcasts, Renegades, and Saints. Any of which are appable here.

Angels and Demons

The very core of In Nomine, the two primary Celestial characters, will be the most prevelant on the MUSH. These two Celestials serve either an Archangel or a Demon Prince and work to promote their side of the War forward toward victory. Generally there are many more demons (though not necessarily Player Character wise on the MUSH) than angels in the grand scheme of the War, but the demons also start at fewer forces than an Angel does. See Choirs and Bands for more information on Angels and Demons respectively.

Outcasts and Renegades

Outcasts are Angels who have lost the favour of their Archangels and been banished from Heaven. An Angel who has become Outcast can not return to Heaven until he has regained the favour of his Archangel and start the game with three levels of one type of Discord. Renegades are Demons who've decided they would rather rebel against their Prince than serve any longer. They're not Outcasts, as the Princes never kick anyone out (they have a habit of killing anyone who they'd consider kicking out first), they're literally on the run or hiding from other Demons. They, like Outcasts, start with three levels of one type of discord.

Remnants

Remnants are former Angels or Demons who have been so damaged in combat that they've lost all of their Celestial Forces. They're now stuck on Earth in their human vessels, cut off from their own memories of who they were as a Celestial. They're usually the homeless guy who is asking for water, only to turn it into wine with one of the Corporeal Songs they still know; despite not knowing how they know how to do so.

Saints, Soldiers, and Undead

First, Soldiers are living humans who've gained an extra Force above the normal level for Mundanes. Undead and Saints are both humans who've died and were either made into mummies or vampires (Undead) or reborn (Saints). All three types of humans are aware of the Celestial War and can also make use of Songs and consciously use Essence.

Mundanes

The term Mundanes is something that Celestials and their Soldiers/Undead call the rest of humanity. They're unaware of the war and have five or fewer forces. While there are many, many more humans to celestials, Celestials are the focal point of this game and will be more common. But, humans are encouraged to be played just to add more depth and flavour to the game as any other character type would.
